What: Jakob will be giving a demonstration on the many styles and methods to decorating a tree for the holiday season. He has lots of tips and tricks to share that will help make your tree as lush and glorious as ever this winter! This demo is free to attend and does not require sign-up.

What: Steph will guide attendees of this workshop as they create their own outdoor evergreen arrangements in hollowed-out birch log containers. Materials provided will include fresh cut assorted evergreen branches, winterberry stems, pinecone picks, and a potting soil-filled birch log planter approximately 7" in diameter. Finished arrangements stand approximately 24" tall and will add charm to your porch or doorstep for the holiday season and beyond. We recommend that you bring along your own work gloves and pruners if you have them. Sign up for this workshop is required.

Materials will include assorted fresh cut evergreen branches and a 12" plastic planter filled with potting soil. Finished arrangements stand 24-30" tall and will add charm to your porch or doorstep for the holiday season and beyond. If you are inclined to add decorations to your porch pot, we have many options available for purchase, including pinecones, berries, holiday picks, and bows. We recommend that you bring along your own work gloves and pruners if you have them. Registration for this workshop is required.

We are so excited to be hosting the Greater Lansing Orchid Society 2025 Show on February 22nd and 23rd! GLOS offers exhibits of Orchids in Use, and Orchids in Art- one of our favorite parts of the show and a fan favorite! The public (that’s you!!) are encouraged to enter projects in this exhibit, from quilts to photography, floral arrangements to paintings! We’ll pass along how to make that happen as the event nears, and we’ll highlight different aspects of the show and the GL Orchid Society in the coming months. We are counting down the days to this exciting event!
